Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How frequent are sessions?
A: I schedule weekly sessions. I can also accommodate clients who benefit from working twice a week or intensives.

Q: How long do sessions last?

A: Sessions for adults are 50 minutes.
Sessions for children and teens are 45 minutes.

Q: How long do I need to commit?
A: That's totally up to you. Doing deeper work usually ends up being a long-term commitment, but short-term intensives can also be very beneficial.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: I accept direct payment from clients or vouchers from organizations including The Loveland Foundation and BeyondTrans. For those who have out-of-network benefits, I am happy to provide superbills for reimbursement by your insurance companies.

Q: How much do sessions cost?

A:
Sessions are $225 each. Please do reach out if you'd like to take advantage of the sliding scale.

Q: Why don't you accept insurance?
A: Relying on insurance has its downsides for both therapists and clients. For one, insurance companies can audit private records and sometimes suddenly stop covering sessions without notice, leaving you with a surprise bill.

Fortunately, there are great benefits to the alternative. Cutting out the middle man and making a financial investment places us in the right mindset to get the most out of therapy. It also allows me to offer a sliding scale and pro bono sessions to those who need the flexibility. This way, everybody wins!

Q: What if I can't afford the full fee?
A:  The affordability and accessibility of therapy is just as important to me as the investment.
I have benefited from sliding scales myself, so please do not let cost discourage you from reaching out. I am happy to work with you to make this a win-win relationship.

Q: How do we get started?
A: Send me a message to schedule a consult with the link below. I look forward to hearing from you!
